Typeface VS Environment - (Extra Typography Course at Central St. Martin)

This course (Typography) I took at Central Saint Martin.

This project is take pictures which the typeface tutor gave us will match the environment.

I got a typeface which is "Frutiger"

Here were the pictures I took at Jubilee line Canary Wharf and Waterloo station.

Book inside page redesign - Invisible City (MA Project)

Redesign <<Invisible city>> inside page

This chapter basically describe that there are two different city face each other 

So I create two mirror city and two repeat words, make it relate to the main idea.

Free hug group project (MA Project)

"Free Hug" this tag already lots of people did it...

Also some similar activity be popular for a while in different area...

For my first group project, we decide do "Hug me" as well in central London...

It is my first time do a group project in a foreign country, I am a really shy person so it sounds difficult for me..

However, Londonist are really friendly also the tourists from different countries.

I really enjoy this opportunity..

Graduation Design - Conflict & Contain (BA Project)

The graduation design

My idea come from culture shock, different country has different culture and habit

From food to clothes, even the living habit is different.

So I decide to do 5 posters show the difference between western and eastern country.

Use the opposite way/thought to show the images in our mind, to be a strong conflict.

Advertising design - Poster (BA Project)

This as a project for advertising course.

To design a series of poster for a brand (Here I choose Nescafe as well)
This project enter the University Graphic Design Award.

Nescafe's brand slogan is "A cup of coffee make you a nice day"
So according to this slogan, my idea come as a morning shower and an energy saving car Those two things we cannot live without everyday.

Packaging Redesign - Nescafe (BA Project)

As a packaging course, tutor ask us to redesign the packaging of a brand which we think it is not good enough.

Because I love coffee as part of my life, so I decide to redesign the coffee brand "Nescafe"

The original packaging looks too much mess information in the surface and colour not stand out in the supermarket enough.

Process:

1. Use Illustrator design the packaging framework

2. Use Photoshop do some picture effects

Creative book design (BA Project)

This is a book design which no rule about what kind of book or form can use.

I choose "Memory" as a concept of this book, because memory sometime become discontinuity 

So the form, my idea come from puzzle, shows pieces memories.

Process:

1. Use Indesign do the basic layout

2. Use Illustrator design the outline of each pieces.

3. Use double side print the final result.

Reader can put the different pieces together whatever they want.

This book can have variety of organise according to different people.

Gouache Printing (BA Project)

Two gouache printing from BA traditional printing course.

Both are still life.

Product design and delivery - software use (BA project)

This project tutor let us to use Illustrator and Photoshop to redeliver the product which we choose by ourselves.

I choose PSP and Sony camera...

All the final result use Illustrator and Photoshop these two software.

Process:
1. Use Illustrator draw 1:1 outline of the product
2. Use Photoshop show the final material and quality of the product

Creative Recycling Part Three -Old Magazine Cutout (BA Project)

This project mostly shows the layout that use old magazine as a material.

Tutor want us show the creativity and sense of colour in a limited time.

Creative Recycling Part Two -Dream House (BA Project)

This project using recycle material such as, toothpaste box, second hand magazine and couple used card boards.

The colour in the surface use gouache in terms of watercolour, it is more longer lasting.

The finish looking is a dram house build on a small island in the middle of the sea. The finished project which can be a house display.

Creative Recycling Part One -Tree (BA Project)

This project basically is use our creativity to use those things no longer useful to create a new thing.

Here I use 3.5 inch old disk from my dad, couple unprofitable plugs, two pieces PVC boards and a  wood board.

The basic tree shape all cut by hand and use flexible war to set them together.

The finish looking is a decorate product as a tree.
